December:Arrangement for the month-Wagi(Japanese Ivy)

Arranged by Hiroko Suzuki

The season of the green has passed and so has the season of the colored leaves, and now fields and mountains appeal to us in silence with the nature’s strength cached within.
Matching an evergreen cypress with an old branch waiting for the arrival of the coming spring, here is an arrangement wrapping up the year and  well representing the continuance borne through working of nature.
Such an arrangement with composed atmosphere may best fit in at a busy and restless time of Shiwasu, the last month of the year.

Materials arranged: Wagi(Japanese ivy),  Asunaro(cypress), moss-covered old persimmon branch
Vessel: “Shakusai  Tsubo” by ONOZAWA Kouichi
