“Hegi”is a traditional technique of splitting wood that has been practiced since ancient days.

“Itae/Hakue”is produced with the inspiration acquired from the grain of the wood, seeing the air, water or sceney in the pattern of the grain.  We produce as we confront the energy the wood has.

Through our expressions of the nature’s silent spirit on “Itae/Hakue” or in my speculative “Hegi” vessels, furnitures and combinations of objets, would you recall the moments you look up at the trees.and the feelings you may get from them.
