More about the Middle-Aged Kyotoites Group Exhibition
Starting November 9th(Sat), we are exhibiting works by 4 middle-aged artists based in Kyoto.
Here are some of their pieces on exhibit.
◼️KUBOTA Shigeo (Fiber Art)
This is a work piece with sisal hemp dyed imagewise, woven strip wise and then
stitched together.

◼️MURATA Koken(Urushi)
The works are produced with his original expression method using traditional urushi techniques such as Raden, Maki-e etc.
◼️YAMADA Akira
The bright and chic red color is YAMADA Akira’s original created color.
This tincture is attained through numerous assiduous repetition of process, where the base and the surface are painted and burnt respectively.
■MORINO Akito (Ceramics)
Auspicious motifs, such as “plum flowers”, “bats”and “Chinese phoenix” are painted with the technique of pointillism. The uncountable “dots”are each painted by hand, dots by dots.
The exhibition is held until November 24th(Sun).
